jo, so the recording software you are using is cool edit pro. Does this software allow us to remove the song from the original song so that we can sing in another track. Sorry I do not have any of the chords or notes of the song.
I record in my laptop using a mic and a recording software. Its like you said. Karaoke in one track and vocals on top of that.

The software I use is Cool Edit Pro. (now it's Adobe Audition).
